Yin Yoga
Slow, deep stretches, long-held poses (2-5 minutes).
Yin Yoga is a meditative and deeply relaxing practice that targets connective tissues through long-held poses, promoting flexibility, joint health, and inner peace.
We take time to align ourselves in each pose using plenty of props for support, then sink deeply into poses for 2-6 minutes each. This sustained stretching allows the body to release tension and the mind to quiet. We aim for a stretch that is challenging yet sustainable for a long hold; some discomfort, never pain.
Yin is great for improving flexibility, easing stiffness, and helping your body feel more open and mobile in daily life. Whether you’re active in sports, spend long hours at a desk, or simply want to move more freely, Yin offers deep restoration.
A regular Yin yoga practice is the perfect complement to more active styles of movement such as other types of yoga, hiking, running, cycling, martial arts, and many others.
This is an all-levels class with no prior experience necessary. There are plenty of options to take for each pose and plenty of props to help align.
